Changes to Regional Water Restrictions
As per Western Downs Regional Council’s Water Restriction Policy, Council would like to advise customers of a change to Water Restriction Levels.
Water Restriction level changes will affect customers connected to the Bell, Brigalow, Chinchilla, Condamine, Dalby, Dulacca, Flinton, Glenmorgan, Jandowae Jimbour, Kogan, Meandarra, Miles, Moonie, Tara, The Gums. Wandoan, Warra and Westmar water supplies. Permitted watering times and devices for all levels shall apply as follows:
Normal - All watering devices allowed between Midnight - 9am and 4pm - Midnight
Conservation - Hand held hoses and installed drip systems allowed between 6am - 9am and 4pm - 7pm
Emergency - Bucket use allowed anytime except Mondays
Odd or unnumbered properties are permitted to water as allowed by the level applicable on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with all even numbered properties permitted to water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
A total outside water ban will continue to apply on Mondays to all Water Restriction Levels. Bucket watering is allowed at any time (excluding Monday’s).
Water Restriction Levels effective from midnight Sunday, 22 September 2019 and apply as follows:
Brigalow, Dalby, Dulacca, Jimbour, Kogan, Meandarra, Miles, Moonie, The Gums, Wandoan, Warra & Westmar
Bell, Chinchilla, Condamine,Flinton, Glenmorgan, Jandowae & Tara
All customers connected to a Western Downs Regional Council water supply are advised that Authorised Council Officers will be conducting regular patrols monitoring adherence to the programme and all customers are requested to abide by the restrictions, as failure to do so will incur a fine.
This notice is issued in accordance with Division 3 of the Water (Supply & Reliability) Act 2008 – Power to Restrict Water Supply.
