Aussie mo-growers raise much-need funds for men's health
AUSTRALIAN men will be among the 1.1million enjoying their first shave in a month this morning.
A record number of Australians resisted the urge to pick up the razor as part of this year's Movember fundraiser.
Movember chief operating officer Jason Hincks said everyone who had taken part had effectively become "walking, talking billboards for men's health".
"The dedication, enthusiasm and passion shown by the Mo community never ceases to amaze," Mr Hincks said.
"Every conversation sparked by the growth of a Movember Mo, is a small but significant step towards changing the attitudes and behaviours of men regarding their health and wellbeing."
This year's global tally is expected to reach $124million.
Funds go towards prostate cancer and male mental health research.
