AWARDS GALLERY: Businesses singled out for excellence

SOME of the Granite Belt's key player's in the business community took time out from their day to day lives to let their hair down on Saturday.

The biannual Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, held at the International Club, drew a respectable turn out.

Chamber president Graham Parker applauded the work of the chamber's subcommittee, who organised the event.

"It was very successful. A great night," Mr Parker said.

"The subcommittee did an outstanding job. The room, decorations and entertainment was all great and a fantastic time had by all.

"It was a chance for people to celebrate all of the wonderful things that go on in our business community inspite of the dire times we're going through at the moment.

"It reinforces the fact we do have a very strong business community," Mr Parker said.
