4u2 Family Concert

Where: Hornery Business Complex, Railway Station Rd, Moranbah
What's happening: Acts including Jon Stevens, Killing Heidi, The Radiators and Eurogliders will headline this Moranbah concert. This year, the fundraiser will support the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital Foundation, RACQ CQ Rescue Helicopter and the Royal Flying Doctor. Motorcycle Beach Races

Where: Grasstree Beach Esplanade
What's happening: With a rich history, the Grasstree Beach Races are one of a kind and the only competitive modern beach motorcycle race of its kind in Australia. Get ready for fast paced racing, tropical weather and a day of family fun at the annual Motorcycle Beach Races. There's plenty to do with markets, jumping castles and face painting. The day will conclude with its famous "King of the Beach” race.

What's happening: Mackay City Roller Maidens are bringing roller derby to Mackay PCYC. Watch all the hard hitting roller skating action as The Rainbow Brights take on The Wild Cats in the main bout at 7.30pm. Go early to catch the Mackay City Roller Misfits showcasing Junior Roller Derby at 6.30pm. Adults $10. School aged children $5. Family pass $25. Cash only.
Nippers Come and Try

What's happening: The Eimeo SLSC Nippers team invites all families to experience a real Nippers session. Speak to the age managers and learn how your family can get involved in the Red and Yellows. Kidz Arvo Out - Child Protection Week 2019

Marian State School Spring Fair

What's happening: A fun-filled family night out at Marian State School. Bring a blanket and enjoy something from the eat street vendors for dinner. Heaps to do for children and adults including show rides, face painting, a balloon artist, pony rides and loads of fantastic market stalls. A fireworks display will end the festivities.

An Evening For Mia

What's happening: Mackay Casino Nights will host a Monte Carlo Black Tie Casino Night for Mia McEldowney, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. Our Lady of Victories Mass

What's happening: Mackay will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Victories. An important day in Malta, it is always celebrated in September. The Mackay Maltese community's celebration will include Mass, a procession and a feast. A statue of Our Lady of Victories is usually walked down the street followed by an open air Mass and refreshments.

Troppo Markets is run by the Rotary Club of North Mackay with proceeds returned to the community.
Mackay Pop-Up Mental Health BBQ and Chat

Mackay Two Feet & A Heartbeat Charity Walk

What's happening: In honour of the four lives lost to congenital or acquired heart disease every week, Two Feet & A Heartbeat is a 4km walk, enabling participants of all ages to get involved. Those keen on a greater challenge can choose to do the course twice, and tackle 8km in recognition of the eight babies born with congenital heart disease every day.

Infamous is a multi-million dollar production with a unique combination of sexy circus acts, raunchy dancing and cheeky comedy that will have you crying with laughter. Trees in Transition - Lagoons Gallery Art Exhibition
When: Wednesday to Sunday
Where: Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens, 9 Lagoon St, Mackay
What happening: Mackay Woodturners see "Trees in Transition” every time they step up to their lathe, scroll saw, sander or burner. The craftspeople take various sized trees or logs, and work their magic in creating both decorative and practical items. Most of the timber is donated by local gardener or tree loppers or has simply fallen due to natural causes. The club takes pride in its environmental awareness, community spirit, ability to make beautiful things from discarded materials and, above all, their skilled craftsmanship. The exhibition is at the Lagoons Gallery in the Botanic Gardens Cafe, which is open Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, and weekends, 8am to 4pm. The cafe is closed on public holidays.
