Cowboys up for win two over Oakey

RUGBY LEAGUE: Centre Joe Fuimaono will miss the Warwick Cowboys clash with Oakey Bears on Saturday night at Oakey.

The Cowboys are fresh from a 22-18 win against Dalby at Father Ranger Oval last Sunday.

Fiumaono will miss this week with a hamstring injury.

Matt Marshall is also out with a hamstring injury but Coedie Tandy will return and play five-eighth.

Warwick scored a win against Oakey early in the season at Father Ranger Oval so want to make it two wins from two games against Oakey this season.

"We have got ourselves into the top three so every game is a must win for us going into the finals,” coach Matt Grew said.

"If we are in the top three, we will take a lot more confidence into the finals.”

The Cowboys have to play Oakey and Souths away and then finish the season with home games against Gatton and Brothers.

Grew was happy with the Tuesday night training session.

"Jarred Bradfield and Simona Vavega lay the platform for a lot of our go forward and we will expect them to provide the same go forward this week.”

Kieran Fender will start at prop tomorrow night after coming off the bench for the majority of the season.

"He is a solid young front rower who has all the skills and will start in a front row which also includes Jarred Bradfield and Ben Sullivan,” Grew said

Warwick is only one point in front of fourth-placed Dalby in A grade.

Saturday game times: Under 18 3.30pm, reserve grade 5pm, A grade 6.30pm
