Dedicated to the cause
MICHAEL Kielly thinks a lot about a grandfather who lost his life to cancer as he grows his moustache for Movember.
A welder with CSM in Warwick, he is growing a moustache for the first time in his life.
"I hope to raise a few hundred dollars but it would be lovely to make it to $1000," he said.
"I lost a grandfather to cancer."
Without an official fundraising committee or functions organised, his fundraising is through friends and workmates.
"People ask if I am involved with Movember and make a donation," he said.
A few of his donations have been on the sidelines at Warwick Touch Football Association fixtures where he supported Mick's Team in the men's competition and many of the same players in the mixed competition.
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches around the world. With their "mo's" men raise vital funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and mental health.
As an independent global charity, Movember's vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men's health.
