Driver left trapped in wrecked ute after colliding with bus

UPDATE 12.40PM: A FEMALE driver was trapped in her crashed car for about 20 minutes as crews worked to free her from the wreckage.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said two crews had been called to a two-vehicle crash at the corner of the Warrego and Carnarvon Highways in Roma this morning.

The driver of a utility was left stuck in her vehicle after it collided with a bus, at about 9.30 this morning.

Eye-witnesses said it appeared as if both vehicles had gone to turn right at the notorious crash-zone at the same time, colliding in the middle.

"It's a pretty deadly intersection, this is the worst I've seen in a while though," one told News.

The driver and passenger of the bus were also transported.

"It looks like one of them has suffered some soft tissue injuries," a Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said.

"But they are both in a stable condition and have been transported to Roma Hospital."
