Duggan trying hard to be fit for the trophy final
RUGBY LEAGUE: Wattles trump card Matt Duggan is doing all he can to be fit for the Madsen Rasmussen Trophy final on Sunday.
If fit, he will captain Wattles against competition leaders Gatton. After suffering a cork injury in the Wattles win against Highfields, Duggan has missed two weeks of footy, including the Queensland Division Championships last weekend when he was to play for Central Crows.
He had physiotherapy and laser last week in an effort to be fit to play for the Crows.
"I would have liked to have made the Queensland team but the injury didn't come good," he said.
The Queensland Rangers team is selected after the divisional championships each year.
His state dreams were put back at least a year when he wasn't right to play.
Now his focus is on the trophy final.
"I haven't run at all yet since the injury," he said.
"I am hoping to play on Sunday, we will know more after training on Thursday night."
