Final spot up for grabs in Madsen Rasmussen Trophy

RUGBY LEAGUE: Wattles needs to beat Pittsworth this weekend to qualify for the Madsen Rasmussen Trophy final on Sunday week at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

Gatton (plus for and against 156) is odds on favourite to secure one spot in the final with 16 competition points and has an easy game against bottom team Brothers.

There is a mathematical chance for Wattles and Highfields to meet in the final if Brothers thrash Gatton and Highfields thrash Warwick.

Wattles (plus 132 for and against) and Highfields (plus 92) are equal second on 14.

Warwick (plus 147) and Pittsworth (plus 36) are equal fourth on 12.

Due to for and against, it is unlikely Pittsworth can make the final.

A Wattles win will almost ensure a top-two spot. Warwick will secure second spot with a win against Highfields but only if Pittsworth beats Wattles.
