Four tries to fullback in Wattles game in TRL

RUGBY LEAGUE: Jackson Green scored four tries as Wattles beat Brothers 68-4 in the A-grade game at Glenholme Park on Sunday.

Brayden Wilson scored three tries, Ty Gardner two and Nick Van Der Poel, Travis Burns, Mark Gordon and Tyler Gillam one each.

Matt Duggan landed eight goals.

Under-18 player Gillam came on at five-eighth and scored one try and set up another after Wattles coach Travis Burns left the field to give Gillam his debut chance.

The win against Brothers in the annual Dan Ryan Memorial Shield game means Wattles have won every fixture game this season except the round 1 clash with Valleys.

Brothers beat Wattles 52-14 in the under-18 game.

Wattles won 44-10 in reserve grade.

In what promises to be a classic game, Wattles will host Valleys in a top-two A-grade clash at Platz Oval this weekend.
