FROST: Did you wake up to icy scenes this morning?
CONDITIONS were ripe for frost this morning with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting some parts of Warwick could have woken up to some icy ground cover.
Forecaster Jessica Gardner said the temperature in Warwick plummeted to 2.3 degrees overnight.
"We would expect that to reach freezing at ground level," she said.
"Anything below four or five degrees we record at our station we would expect frost at ground level."
Ms Gardner said there were a few conditions that needed to align for a frost to be created.
"It needs to have a very cool and dry air mass, which we do, and no cloud cover so you can get a lot of cooling on the ground," she said.
After the cool start Warwick is expected to reach a top of 23 degrees today, with the rest of the week looking to hit the low 20s and minimum temperatures in the 5 to 8 degree range.
"It should be beautiful sunny days for the next week," Ms Gardner said.
