Fury over Meghan’s latest move
AS PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle face increasing scrutiny over their private jet use, the couple's latest Instagram post has sparked a furious backlash from royal fans.
Last week it emerged the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had used private planes - which emit six times more carbon dioxide than a regular flight - to fly to Ibiza and then Nice.
The move was criticised by royal fans and UK politicians, who accused the couple of being hypocritical given their campaigning on environmental issues.
On Monday, Meghan and Harry's official Instagram account Sussex Royal shared "an inspiring quote for the day" to its 9.3 million followers.
The quote from Archbishop Desmond Tutu urged people to "do your little bit of good where you are".
While many of the royal couple's followers thanked them for sharing the inspiration message, others accused Meghan and Harry of showing "entitlement" given their use of private jets.
"Your little bit of good might be flying on commercial rather than always Private … remember that footprint you both talk about," one person said.
"People spout quotes and mantras around, and that is all well and good … but at the end of the day it's your actions that speak louder than your words," one follower commented.
"Your little bit of good could be practising what you preach and reducing your carbon footprint by not using private jets every 30 minutes," another said, while another follower claimed it was "taking entitlement to a whole new level".
Earlier this month, it emerged Harry had given a speech on the need for climate change action at a top secret Camp Google event in Sicily, Italy.
The Prince made his plea barefoot to celebrities that included Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney and Harry Styles.
He is believed to have stayed on a super yacht during the event.
On August 6, Meghan and Harry flew to Ibiza for six days to celebrate the former actress' 38th birthday, a round trip that is estimated to have cost $72,000.

I am deeply distressed by today’s distorted and malicious account in the press surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s private stay at my home in Nice last week. Prince Harry’s Mother, Diana Princess Of Wales was one of my dearest friends. I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death. After a hectic year continuing their hard work and dedication to charity, David and I wanted the young family to have a private holiday inside the safety and tranquility of our home. To maintain a high level of much-needed protection, we provided them with a private jet flight. To support Prince Harry’s commitment to the environment, we ensured their flight was carbon neutral, by making the appropriate contribution to Carbon Footprint™ I highly respect and applaud both Harry and Meghan’s commitment to charity and I’m calling on the press to cease these relentless and untrue assassinations on their character that are spuriously crafted on an almost daily basis.
Last Wednesday, the couple jetted into Nice airport on a private plane to stay at Elton John's villa before flying back on the same aeroplane to the UK on Sunday.
John has since defended the couple's trip, writing on social media that he had provided the couple with his 12-seat Cessna plane due to the "high level of much-needed protection" Meghan and Harry required.
He said: "After a hectic year continuing their hard work and dedication to charity, David and I wanted the young family to have a private holiday inside the safety and tranquillity of our home.
