GET ready for an action-packed weekend around the Southern Downs because there are heaps of activities to keep the family entertained over the next few days.

That Spring Thing

THIS weekend is set to be a bundle of fun for those in need of a pick-me-up as That Spring Thing hits Federation Park tomorrow.

Hosted by the Warwick Chamber of Commerce and featuring live music, comedy, dancing and storytelling, the event is a way to raise spirits in the midst of drought, according to chamber president Julia Keogh.

Food will be available with eight food vendors such as Belle Vue, Bluebird Kitchen and Smokehouse and Little Galleria Treats pitching in to contribute to the festivities.

Cowboys rodeo

THE Octeros Cabinets Warwick Cowboys Rodeo will be at Father Ranger Oval tonight.

There are 60 nominations for the three bull rides. One of the special events is the Warwick Cowboys Footballer's Steer Ride. Music from 9pm with Mike Overle.

Wings over Warwick

Grand final

THE Warwick Cowboys will play Valleys in the Toowoomba Rugby League grand final on Sunday.

The Cowboys will be chasing their first A-grade premiership win since they won in 1987 and 1988.

FOR the second week in succession, Warwick is in a must-win game in the AFL Darling Downs competition.
