Heat bowl brilliantly and a Warwick player is a star

CRICKET: Warwick pace bowler Delissa Kimmince has taken the best figures in her WBBL career.

Kimmince debuted for Australia in 2007 and is part of the current Australian Southern Stars T20 team.

After winning a T20 World Cup with Australia late last year, she has continued her fine form with the Brisbane Heat.

Today, she took 4-18 against the Melbourne Stars at the Gabba.

Kimmince took wickets with her last two balls to finish with her best WBBL figures off 3.5 overs.

She could complete a hat-trick with a wicket with her first ball in the next game but some cricket purists would suggest a hat-trick should only be achieved in one game.

Such was the confidence of the Heat captain in Kimmince, she was entrusted with the 20th and last over of the innings. One of her victims was bowled and three caught.

Melbourne was dismissed for 88 and the Heat hit 3-91 in 8.4 overs for an easy win which secures them a spot in the semi finals this season.
