Junior cricket president invites players to have a go today

CRICKET: The Warwick Cricket Association is inviting all prospective junior cricketers to a come-and-try day from 9-11am at Slade Park on Saturday morning.

It is also a chance for players to speak to association officials before the first fixtures on October 13.

Troy March is the new Warwick junior cricket president. Shane Cartwright is the under-13 co-ordinator.

The association is still seeking volunteers to look after U11 and U16 players.

Fixtures will be at Glennie Heights State School (U11), Warwick East State School (U13) and Queens Park (U16).

All registrations can be done online at playcricket.com.au.

Saturday's come-and-try day will still go ahead in the clubhouse if it is raining.

March will be there to welcome any players, parents or guardians seeking more information.

Senior Warwick cricket will start on October 14.

There is no senior cricket this weekend other than Back To Greymare games from 10am Saturday at the Greymare cricket ground, 30km west of Warwick.

If you would like more information about junior cricket or are keen to volunteer call Troy March on 0432791696.
