Mo-tivated firefighters raise awareness for men’s health

IF putting their lives on the line to fight fires wasn't enough, the crew at Warwick Fire Station are participating in Movember to raise funds and awareness for men's health.

Firefighter Noah Littell-Shires said the team, named F-Troop, had been growing moustaches for Movember and campaigning through social media to raise money for the cause.

"It's something a lot of the boys like to do because it's a bit of fun and for a good cause," Mr Littell-Shires said.

"It has a lot to do with testicular cancer which a few of our friends have had so we want to show our support, as well as men's mental health issues.

"At the start of November we're all clean shaven and we have photos taken of our progress through the month and have a competition between ourselves of who can grow the most outrageous mo'.

"It's a lot of fun and we go up against service groups across the state."
