IT IS probably worth packing light when you head out to enjoy the festivities over this last weekend of Jumpers and Jazz.

But bring a good jacket, just in case.

Weatherzone meteorologist Graeme Brittian is forecasting a mild Friday and Saturday and a possibility of the rain by Sunday afternoon.

"Temperatures will be in the mid-to-low 20s for the next couple of days with highest temperatures on Saturday at about 24 degrees,” he said.

Wind and cloud cover will be almost non-existent through to Saturday night but that will change come Sunday morning.

"The mostly clear skies will see night time temperatures drop to below average so it'll be quite chilly with a slight chance of frost,” Mr Brittian said.

"Generally, there'll be light winds but by Sunday they are looking to pick up with gusts of 30-40km/h on Sunday afternoon.

"There is the chance of rain with that wind increasing as it pushes a trough through the region.

"It'll only be showers, so you mostly miss them,” he said.
