ROCKERS RETURN: Back to the Warwick stage where it all began

MUSIC is like a tonic for Warwick mates Zach Eather and Nick Keogh-Peel and returning to the stage that launched their musical careers will be a welcome chance to put old anxieties to bed.

The thought "jeez, we need to get better” may have haunted Keogh-Peel when he and Eather finished their first gig at the Warwick Town Hall four years ago, but it also sparked a drive to take his musical career to new heights.

"Not pursuing it was never an option, drumming has been the dream for as long as I can remember,” the 22-year-old said.

The only person who could rival his passion for music was Eather, a singer and guitarist of the same age.

Four years later, the two reflect on how far they have come as they bring their talent back to town with four-piece rock band, Therapist.

Keogh-Peel and Eather have both studied music in Brisbane and are preparing to launch an independently-record single after the success of Therapist's self-titled EP, which they launched at a leading Brisbane nightclub in 2017.

Keogh-Peel said he was pumped to play an opening set when the nationally acclaimed Pub Choir takes over the Warwick Town Hall next Saturday.

"We love Warwick and it sounds like the turnout is going to be really good. It is getting really close to selling out,” he said.

Tickets are available through the Warwick Chamber of Commerce.
