Strong support for parkrun on weekend 1 of Jumpers and Jazz

SIXTY runners and walkers braved the cold weather to run with and without beanies in the Warwick parkrun on the first Saturday of Jumpers and Jazz.

Warwick parkrun has just celebrated their 300th run and a week later, there were 60 in action.

Toowoomba runner Tim George was first finisher for the men on a weekend he was catching up with relatives at Killarney.

Warwick parkrunner Peter Cary was second finisher.

Katie Menzies from the Gold Coast and Warwick runner Brianna Mullaly were two of the first women home. There were also runners on Saturday from as far as Armidale and Brisbane.

New runners and walkers welcome each Saturday to start at 7am in Queens Park just downstream of the Madsen Bridge. First timers need to print out a barcode from parkrun website.

A presentation was made to Lyn McKillop who was lining up for her 50th parkrun.
