Tough away game for Redbacks in AFLDD

AUSSIE RULES: Warwick will field one of its biggest teams of the season when the side plays Coolaroo at Rockville Oval at 2.30pm Saturday.

Goondiwindi leads the competition from Warwick and Coolaroo in equal second place.

Coach Ben Heppell is delighted he will have his three biggest players on the field for the game against Coolaroo.

"The trio are James O'Donnell, Steve Martin and Alex Cutmore,” he said.

"They will play in key positions, centre half back, centre half forward and in the ruck.”

O'Donnell was recruited this season after playing for Redlands in the North Eastern Football League.

After missing the team's home win last Saturday, O'Donnell and Brendan Iles will both return to play Coolaroo.

Both have played with clubs in the Brisbane area and are two of the best credentialled players in the AFL Darling Downs competition.

Heppell is set to play full forward after landing eight goals last weekend.

Kris Millard kicked seven so the Redbacks have some form kickers in the team.

After this weekend, Warwick will play South Burnett at home on June 27 and then away games against South Toowoomba and Chinchilla.

The Darling Downs league plays a top five so a top-three position will give Warwick two chances in the finals series.

Captain Andrew Bardsley is out with a shoulder injury but Shane Iles is back from a hamstring injury.
