Warwick on top of the ladder in the TRL
RUGBY LEAGUE: The Warwick Cowboys are unbeaten after three rounds and are undisputed leaders in the Toowoomba Rugby League A grade competition.
Warwick, Valleys and Goondiwindi are the only unbeaten teams so far this season and Warwick is in front of the other two teams which have had their bye.
The Cowboys have their bye next weekend so could be joined by other teams at the top of the ladder.
In A grade, Warwick won 34-12 against Oakey on Saturday night at Father Ranger Oval.
The reserve-grade team made it two wins from three games with a 48-4 victory against Oakey.
After two narrow losses, the Josh Williams-coached Cowboys under-18 side beat Oakey 60-10.
Wattles won the Ragh Family Trophy against Souths on Saturday night at Platz Oval.
In A-grade, Wattles made it two wins from three games with a 46-10 victory against Souths.
Wattles remain unbeaten in reserve grade with a 48-6 win.
The star Souths under-18 team beat Wattles 48-26.
While Warwick and Wattles had a combined five wins from six games, the scores point to the improvement by Oakey and Souths, clubs which almost dropped out of the TRL in the past couple of years.
