Warwick Water Rats make long trip to Condamine worthwhile

RUGBY UNION: Warwick maintained third place in the Darling Downs Rugby Union B-grade competition with a 60-0 win at Condamine on Saturday.

Coach Vlad Savovski said the winning margin could be the biggest in the club's history.

"Kai Etherington was player of the match after scoring one try at outside centre in his first season of rugby,” he said.

"Warwick led 27-0 at half-time,” he said.

David Reynolds and Dean Cullen played well in the front row along with Richard Main.

Lachlan Winten had a strong game at fullback and Jared Fearby carried the ball strongly at inside centre and was strong in defence.

Warwick dominated the set pieces as has been the case all season.

Goondiwindi lost 6-5 to Dalby a week ago to drop to second place below leaders St George.

Warwick are third and Dalby fourth.

The Water Rats have beaten both Dalby and St George this season, so have proved they have the ability to match it with the best in the competition.
