Water Rats at home for crucial Bs game
RUGBY UNION: The Warwick Water Rats men will need to rediscover their mid-season form against the fifth-placed USQ Saints this Saturday if they hope to push for the coveted third spot on the ladder.
The Rats sit comfortably in fourth place on 27 points with three games to play and St George have 28 points with a game in hand.
Warwick will need to win and win well to improve their points differential, currently minus 20. St George has a points differential of plus three.
Halfback Joe Levick, prop Dean Cullen and fullback Lachlan Winten will miss this week's game at 1.30pm. The Gatton Black Pigs will then play USQ in A grade at 3pm.
All of this action will be played against the backdrop of the Water Rats Ladies Day, a celebration of the growing contribution of women in rugby.
The Rats women's sevens squad has made a huge impact since their entry into Downs competition last year, going all the way to the final and have had a massive input into improving club culture.
Ladies day kicks off at 1pm, entry is $10, ladies will get two complementary drinks and champagne and nibbles will be provided. The Rats will be raffling a 2011 premiership winning Reds jersey signed by the squad. Alastair Costello
